1. Measure the shelf opening

Use the narrowest unobstructed width, depth, and height from the front opening to the final stored position. Include doors, posts, lips, braces, and anything else the tote must pass.

Clear inside width at the tightest point.

Usable depth after doors, rails, or rear obstructions.

Clear height available for one upright tote.

Count only levels that have been measured or verified.

2. Measure the tote

Measure the outside of the actual tote, including the lid, handles, wheels, lips, and any other protrusion.

3. Add optional clearance

These values reserve space around the outside edges of the shelf opening. They do not create gaps between neighbouring totes.
